We care

Bluesfest provides a unique opportunity for charities and community organisations to meet and engage with patrons. Charity stalls provide an important part of the overall festival experience and we encourage our patrons to connect.

Bluesfest is proud to be supporting the following charities in 2019:

We Contribute

Bluesfest is respected for creating ongoing employment and contracts work placement opportunities for individuals and small businesses in Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers. A small regional part of Australia with limited employment opportunities.

Bluesfest not only invests in our local community contributing over $20 million to the Northern Rivers region and an estimated total of $40 million to the NSW economy annually, it continues to provide countless opportunities to local musicians, artists, volunteers and businesses through performance platforms, stalls, and networks.

As a world recognised destination event with 49% of Bluesfest patrons visiting from outside NSW. Bluesfest is responsible for significant injections into NSW and Byron Shire tourism economies and brand awareness.

Bluesfest stimulates local tourism and hospitality industries in great numbers. Many Byron Bay business owners have attributed Bluesfest for their busiest week all year, including Christmas.

WE CARE about the community, wildlife, and the environment. We facilitate fundraising for local charities, run progressive sustainability and recycling policies and work with local foundations on the protection and care for koalas & bees on the festival site.
